Post Location: Shenstone School - Sidcup Site This position is for the Sidcup site. However, Shenstone is a multi-site school and you will need to be prepared/willing to work at any of our sites if the need arises. (this will be discussed further at interview).

Contract Type: Permanent Hours/Weeks: 10 hours per week (3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m or 3:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.) Marginal flexibility on start time is available and can be discussed at interview. 39 weeks (term-time) per year plus time required to conduct a deep clean in both the Easter and Summer holidays – further details will be discussed at interview.

Grade: Bexley 04 (£13.98 per hour) Salary: £26,238 (full-time equivalent) £6,241 (Actual salary)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated cleaner to join our friendly team. The successful candidate must be hard-working, enthusiastic, highly motivated and reliable. You must be well organised and able to clean to a high standard within set timescales. You will be required to clean all areas of the school including toilets/changing areas. Participation in deep cleans during the Easter and Summer holidays is essential and the logistics of this will be discussed at interview.

Post Location: Shenstone School Shenstone is an all-through school and is split over three local sites.

Our primary sites are in Crayford & Sidcup, our secondary site is temporarily based at Jubilee Primary School before moving to our new build in Halt Robin Road which will be opened in September 2025. Site allocation will be discussed at interview stage but please be aware that you could be asked to work at any of the above sites. This ultimately depends on where our current vacancies are and although staff are predominately based at one of these sites, you will need to be prepared/willing to work at any of our three sites for the purpose of operational feasibility.

Contract Type: Permanent Hours/Weeks: 5 days per week (30 hours) (9:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.) 39 weeks per year (term time + training days)

Grade: Bexley 05 ( £14.40 per hour) Salary: £19,289 (Actual) £27,030 (full-time equivalent)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for enthusiastic, engaging, empathetic and resilient candidates to join our fantastic and dedicated team at Shenstone School. You will be required to work as part of a team, under the direction of the Class Teacher/Cover Supervisor helping and supporting pupils with their emotional, social and cognitive learning.

You will use a variety of different techniques to motivate, engage and encourage the pupils to achieve their greatest possible outcomes. You will also be required to initiate and participate in games/activities, toilet/change where necessary and protect pupils safety and wellbeing.

If you are looking for a challenge and are able to support and encourage our amazing pupils with SEND to achieve their full potential in our specialist school setting, then we would welcome your application. The achievements of our pupils are extraordinary and will give you a sense of achievement when they make progress, however small.
